I. The information we collect
For a comprehensive overview on what information we collect and
how it will be used please see the summary table
at the end of this document.
1. Information that you enter into a form at our site
a) Greeting Card Record
While you create an online greeting card at our site we collect
information from the inputs that you provide. This information is
used for the purpose of sending your card.
b) Webmaster Interface Program
Webmasters can register a personalized version of our program for
their own web site. If you register the program we collect
information about your site which is required to set up your custom
greeting card program at our server.
c) User surveys
In order to make the site more useful to visitors we post surveys to
collect user opinion and demographic data at regular intervals. None
of the questions collects personally identifyable information.
Participation in user surveys is optional and while filling out a
survey users can skip questions if they do not want to provide an
answer.
2. Information that you do not enter into a form at our site
We log your web browser's request header information. This
information is used for statistical purposes.
II. Saving and logging your information
1. Greeting card record
We do NOT make your email addresses or any other personally
identifiable information available to anyone but the recipient of
your greeting card. As a supporter of the Coalition
Against Unsolicited Email (CAUCE) we strongly disapprove of
spamming. You won't receive any unsolicited email as a result of
visiting this Web site.
All Greeting Card data are stored in our database until 4 weeks
after the date of card delivery. At this time the database record
will be automatically deleted. Prior to deletion only the greeting
card's sender, the recipient and our system administrators have
access to this record.
2. Webmaster interface program
All data are stored in a database record and will not be made
available unless the person requesting this information specifies
the correct user ID and password.
3. Web server log files
We log your browser's request header information for statistical
purposes only. We draw up these statistics because we need to set up
a user profile. This is very important information for a highly
interactive web site that constantly needs to aim at the needs of
its users. Moreover, this is a free service that fully depends on
sponsors. Sponsors need to know a Web site's performance and target
audience.
4. Custom log files
We also log part of the greeting card record for statistical
purposes:
* card's send date and time
* card's claim number (last 3 characters deleted)
* sender and recipient's email address (irretrievably encrypted!)
III. Disclosing Information
All-Yours.net will NOT disclose any personally identifiable
information to any third party except as required by law.
Greeting Card Record:
Only the greeting card's sender and recipient can access a card's
database record. Each card has a unique ID number. It is impossible
to view a card without providing this number and only the sender and
the recipient know it.
Many web sites use our "Webmaster Interface Program" to
provide a custom greeting card service that is remotely hosted on
All-Yours.net servers. If you wrote your card at one of our partner
web sites, the information specified in item II.4. is being made
available to this web site.
Webmaster Interface Program:
Your password-protected data (web site information, email address)
will not be disclosed to anyone without your explicit prior consent.
User Surveys:
In order to describe our services to prospective partners,
advertisers and other third parties we disclose user information,
including demographic data from user surveys provided or sponsored
by "BURST! MEDIA", in an aggregated form that does NOT
identify individual users.
IV. "Cookies"
A cookie is a chunk of information that a Web site can save to your
browser's cookie file. The same Web site who stored the cookie (and
no one else) can retrieve this information, even at a subsequent
visit if they stored a "permanent cookie".
Cookies can be used by commercial Web sites to store items in your
"shopping basket". They are also often used for saving the
user IDs and passwords of Web sites with limited access (you don't
need to enter it all the time).
We use cookies to save your greeting card address book and to
distinguish unique and repeat visits. First time visitors sometimes
require additional information. If your browser allows us to store
the cookie, we can read it at a subsequent visit and then we know
that this browser (not user) accessed our site before. We also use a
cookie to make sure that some advertising banners won't show up in
your browser more than once per session.
V. Data protection
All-Yours.net has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and
managerial procedures to provide a high level of data security on
our web and data servers. We won't disclose those measures for
obvious reasons but you can be sure that we take reasonable
precautions to protect your greeting card data from loss, misuse or
alteration and to safeguard and secure the data you provide online.
However, while All-Yours.net strives to protect your data after it
has arrived at our servers, we cannot guarantee the security of any
information that is being transmitted over the Internet.
VI. Choice / Opting out
1. Greeting card record
We cannot send your greeting card unless you provide a valid email
address for sender and recipient. This is the only information you
need to provide to send a card. The greeting card program does not
support anonymous cards. All other personally identifiable
information in your card is optional and won't be logged. If you
want us to correct or delete your greeting card record please send
us an email at support@all-yours.net. To protect your privacy and
security, we need to verify your identity before making corrections.
Your card's ID number therefore is required.
2. Webmaster interface program
If you want to correct your registration data you can access your Control
Panel at any time. To delete a registered account please send us
an email at support@all-yours.net.
3. Web server log file information
If you want to provide as little request header information as
possible you can use services like Anonymizer.com to surf the web.
They will cut certain information from your page requests, like your
browser's name, your operating system, and the web address of the
page that you looked at before you visit our site ("http_referer").
We do not recommend doing this. If you don't tell our program what
web browser you use it assumes that the request originates from a
non-standard web browser and will therefore run in a very simple
mode without any advanced features. We need to check the
http_referer information to prevent pirate web sites from using our
program. If your page request does not contain a valid http_referer
our programs may reject it.
4. Cookies
You can configure your web browser to not accept or store All-Yours.net
cookies. This will not disable our greeting card program. However,
rejecting All-Yours.net cookies will disable address book functions
and make it impossible for us to identify first time users or
provide custom content.
